1. What is a cookie ?

A cookie is a small text file, which is stored on your computer or mobile device and recovered the next time you visit the same website.

A cookie generally includes:
– the name of the server that issued the cookie
– a unique identification number
– in some cases, an expiry date

2. What are cookies used for ?

Cookies do not allow us to identify you personally but, in general terms, to gather information when you visit our website.
The purpose of a cookie is to recognise your browser during the validity period of the cookie concerned and allow us to take the following actions:

– Optimise security measures when you are browsing our website;
– Adapt the presentation of the site based on your preferences, depending on hardware and software your device uses to view and read websites (language settings, display resolution, etc.);
– Produce statistics on visitor numbers and how the various types of content on the site are used. This helps us to improve the appeal and user-friendliness of the site.

You can find out whether cookies have been stored on your device and delete them if applicable.
You can also refuse to have cookies stored on your device by deactivating them in your browser settings.

3. How do you set up your browser to manage cookies ?

You have two options for configuring your browser software:

– Set up your browser software to accept/reject cookies, either for all cookies or depending on the issuer.
– Set up your browser so that you are asked to accept or reject cookies on an ad hoc basis, before they are stored on your device.

To access the settings for your browser software, check the help menu in your browser to find out how to change your cookies preferences.
